Yesterday, they learnt about the language used when discussing the likelihood of events occurring. They then made a prediction — boy or girl — and explained their reasoning before heading to the top oval, where they discovered that Mrs Petrie’s baby is a boy! Everyone was very excited. 

Once 4TP returned to class, they learnt how to calculate a percentage from a fraction. They found that 42% of the class had predicted “boy” correctly. 

Overall, what a fun way to start their term.
