A WORD FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers
As we come to the end of another busy and successful term, I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support. It’s been a pleasure to see our students grow, learn, and thrive over the past few months.
End-of-Term Reflections
This term has been filled with fantastic learning, special events, and achievements across the school. From classroom projects to sports days and performances, our students have made us all proud with their enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work.
Congratulations to all of our music students and staff – over the last few weeks our choirs and instrumental music students have participated in many competitions. Our students have not only made themselves and families proud but also our school. Without the support of our wonderful staff, our students wouldn’t have these types of opportunities. As we come to the middle of the year, I would ask that students and families take the time to say thank-you to our teachers for their hard work and dedication to our students.
End of Term Reports
The department has been made aware that there is an issue with some end of semester student report cards being sent from OneSchool to parent/caregiver email accounts.
The department is currently investigating an issue with these report cards being sent to Gmail accounts. This is being addressed with priority. Other email accounts are not impacted.
There may be a delay in receving reports cards via Gmail. Report cards will be available via QParents.
Under 8’s Day
Well done to Ms Jappé and her wonderful lower school team for organising the Under 8’s extravaganza. When walking around, it reminded me why I work with children – the uninhibited fun factor! Our students and their families were enjoying the freedom of creative play, engaging in the activities and making new friendships. A big thank you to the Yr 6 students for their support of our younger students, I think the Yr 6’s had just as much fun!
Important Reminder: No Dogs on School Grounds
For the safety and comfort of all students, staff, and families, please remember that dogs are not permitted on school grounds at any time—even if they are on a lead. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone. As a reminder, signs will be placed around the school.
Evacuation and Lockdown Procedures
This week, we have had a practice evacuation drill. This is to ensure that all students and staff understand the importance of quickly evacuating in case of an emergency. Well done to all students and staff on your participation and execution of the evacuation.
Wishing You a Wonderful Break
As we break for the holidays, I’d like to wish all of our families a restful and joyful time together. Whether you’re travelling, enjoying the sunshine, or simply taking it easy at home, I hope it’s a chance to relax and recharge.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the new term, refreshed and ready for more learning adventures.
Yours in Learning,
