3TD EXCURSIONS
An exciting day in Year 3!
The Year 3’s had a fantastic day out at CPAC recently, seeing the David Walliams story ‘Ratburger’ come to life on stage. Thankyou P&C for your contributions to make this event happen. The senior choir performing at Fanfare had a successful day too – Thankyou Mrs Howell!
Here are some recounts from 3TD of the day…
Friday was the day that I got to go to Fanfare! I was going to leave from school at eleven o’clock! It was time to leave and meet Miss Howell under A block. Me and all the choir kids went over and sat down. We waited 3-5 minutes. Suddenly, Miss Howell told us to stand up. My heart was beating so fast! We then hopped onto the bus. We arrived at Edge Hill state school and went to the room where we practiced and did our warm-ups. After that we went to the huge area where we were going to perform.
Freshwater junior choir was first to perform. They were great, they got a silver award. Then there were two other schools that went on stage, and then it would be our turn. When it was our time to go on stage, I was so excited. We were on the stage and so many people were looking at me. I was feeling AMAZING once I performed. We went off the stage and they told us that we got a silver award! We got onto the bus and went back to school. That day was the best day of my life!!!

On Friday the 16th of May, at 1st lunch, senior and junior choir went on an excursion to Choral Fanfare at Edge Hill. First Miss Howell did a roll call. The juniors went on a bus with Miss Howell. The seniors went on a bus with Miss Hunter and Miss Coverdale. I sat on the window side next to my friend Margot. It took ten minutes on the bus. We finally arrived at Edge Hill. We went to a room that had a TV and we practiced our songs. After we walked silently to a big room with really bright lights. We listened to a few of the other choirs and then we got to sing our songs Kookaburra and the Moon.

On Friday my mum and my class went on an excursion to CPAC and watched Ratburger. We went on a bus ride to get to CPAC. On the way I sat next to Alexis, and she sat on the window side.
When we got there, we all said thankyou to the bus driver. We all got off and Mrs Davis took a picture of us. Then we went inside and lined up in two straight lines and sat down. After 10 minutes we stood up and walked up the stairs. We went through door 6. We all sat down in our seats. I sat next my mum and Alexis.
Finally the show started. There was a girl waking up in her bed. She woke up and found her hamster dead! She cried and cried. A few hours later the pink girl (her stepmum) gets turned into meat. The girl that lost her hamster lived happily ever after with her dad and his new ice-cream flavours like pickle, carrot, grass and fruit salad.
